About Codex

What Codex is

Codex is an independent, educational field reference for the U.S. electrical construction code (the NEC). It reconnects each rule to the fire, shock, or new technology that caused it — so the code reads as history and reasoning, not just regulation — and pairs that with trade calculators, diagrams, and exam practice.

Built by the trade, for the trade

The library is authored in the voices of four working electricians, so every article carries real jobsite experience. Codex is free to use.
